here it is the end
here it is the decision
to feed the beast
or release it
here ive lost tons
of myself
and here they are
scrambling
to blame me
here is the next time
here is the next limp
to the polls
to see who likes me
who is like me
here is gnawing
here is the flab
here is pressure
here is the overseas call
home
here it is the decision
to feed the beast
or release it
here ive lost tons
of myself
and here they are
scrambling
to blame me
here is the next time
here is the next limp
to the polls
to see who likes me
who is like me
here is gnawing
here is the flab
here is pressure
here is the overseas call
home

Re: here
Fri, October 29, 2004 - 7:58 PMThe universe for some reason didn't want me to respond to this poem. Everytime I tried, the keeper of the electronic media decided to intervene. I guess now is the time...
Short and sweet, buck. Flawless as far as I am concerned. Speaking of war protest... (?)

Fri, October 29, 2004 - 11:10 PMi had the same problem with one of droppings poems. wanted to say how his line breaks resembled a smile, but it never has showed up. what war? -

Re: here
Sat, October 30, 2004 - 8:37 AMAny war ... personal, political, cutlural. That's what it sparked inside of me at least, and especially the call overseas home - but I might take it too personal. :p -

Re: here
Sat, October 30, 2004 - 10:34 AMno, you did fine, it is actually more about the elections, but this time around they will make the difference between war and peace. -

Re: here
Mon, November 1, 2004 - 11:49 AMAren't the elections a political/cultural war of sorts? Promises, deceptions, oppressions, stake-burnings, humiliations, fraternizations, psyops, scavenging? You get my drift...
And aren't we always trying to get "elected" in some way or another in our personal lives? Don't we all enjoy a certain amount of recognition and acceptance no matter how small and seemingly insignificant (except for those of us who pretend to be secure and mature enough)? -

Re: here
Fri, November 5, 2004 - 11:10 AMI liked it. It took me a couple of time to read it but I thought you were talking about the election. The second verse I had a hard time with but I think that is just me. Oh yeah it looks like I have job security whether I like it or not. So where is my next year long vacation going to be at? Afghanistan again? Iraq? Somewhere in Africa? Bosnia?
Have Fun -

Re: here
Fri, November 5, 2004 - 12:17 PMLily I am really sorry. Sometimes I forget what I am saying and don't think how someone else will take it. It was ment to be slightly humorous. -

Re: here
Fri, November 5, 2004 - 12:23 PMI was facetious... But there is a sting I feel (not a selfish one - I don't dare to look that far ahead) - for you guys out there sitting in that god forsaken place. There is nothing to feel sorry about, you spoke from the heart and that's the only way to go. Don't ever worry how someone else will take anything you have to say - fuck em. We are all adults here (well... you know what I mean).

Re: here
Fri, November 5, 2004 - 12:41 PMmy poem aside...the middle east is not "god-forsaken" it is where the bible was born and christ was martyred, there are quite a few historical accounts of bethlehem being part of what is now palastein...just some scholarly stuff...the islamic faith is just as valid and die-hard as christianity...this is the next crusade installment, anglo-christians have never been able to hold the mid-east and never will, we think jesus is white for christs sake! and don your gallows humour is funny, when you lose it is when i'll worry. -

Fri, November 5, 2004 - 1:01 PMYasser-Arafat is on life support and the intestinal tract of a Vegan is approximately 14 percent longer than the average diet eating human. So the endstate is this...Yasser is a vegetable and vegetables give you more guts.
