its a marble-headed monster
leaking transfusions
the blood creeps along
with a smile
spellbound and defiant
the criminal disease
is eating lunch alfresco
sunshine is released,
transmuted
by the bay window
with stars glowing in
the feeble-minded ogre
is counting sheep
the sun is asleep
and turned to stone
nightime stretches endless
amid the mist and moon
leaking transfusions
the blood creeps along
with a smile
spellbound and defiant
the criminal disease
is eating lunch alfresco
sunshine is released,
transmuted
by the bay window
with stars glowing in
the feeble-minded ogre
is counting sheep
the sun is asleep
and turned to stone
nightime stretches endless
amid the mist and moon

Re: Cartwheels
Wed, November 10, 2004 - 3:57 PMafter a few reads i started to connect a little more with the first stanza.
The last two lines go together quite well. Like they're both needed as the wrap up to the piece.
